The more I start thinking about it, the more excited I get. Everything. I'm going to do a run down of what I done so far, etc. Here goes:
I ordered swatches of paper off of Cards and Pockets, cause I want to make my own invitations. I haven't found any invitations of what I really want (that I can afford), so why not just make my own? I'm crafty, and I have more than enough time - and time to waste while avoiding schoolwork. I ordered forest, emerald, and onyx (for $1.05 on my credit card, yay!). I'm afraid I won't be able to find a green that matches, so I might just do black invitations with green details. In any case, I'm super excited for these swatches.
We got our engagement pictures taken! We got them taken by Kelly Adler (check out her site). She was phenomenal, and for a great price. There's only about 20 pictures posted, because we haven't gotten our cd yet (it's in the mail). Once the cd arrives, I'm sure I'll have plenty more to post :) We got them taken on Main Street in St. Charles, MO - and I couldn't be happier. So now, of course, my brain is swimming with ideas for save the dates. Alas, those can't be done until we have a date - but we're getting that in a little over a month! Which leads to the next topic...
Meeting with the priest! We're meeting with Fr. Don on April 19th for the first time, which I'm so excited for. I can't really complete anything before then, because we don't technically have a date. Without one, I feel like I'm jumping the gun. Sean and I have discussed it though, and if we can't get our January 8th day (which is possible, because we're still in the Christmas season and we don't know if the church will be funny about it), we're going to go for next may. It'll move the date up (and probably change our colors lol), but that's perfectly okay. But we're still keeping our fingers crossed for January.
The Dress. I keep finding myself wandering onto topics about dresses on WeddingBook (could I mention again how addicting that is?). Consequently, I keep having dreams about wedding dress shopping. Ugh. It's driving me crazy! I'm probably going to give in soon, even though I REALLY don't want to yet. But I keep poking around, and lately I discovered that Maggie Sottero (Jesus Christ they're gorgeous) is sold at the neat little wedding shop on Broadway here in CoMo. I've always kind of wanted to browse that shop, and it's killing me knowing that these gorgeous dresses are waiting to be perused in there. How did I suddenly become such a wedding dress addict? I actually know designers?! Wtf?! It's absolutely crazy. I do want a big dress though. :D The girls might be kidnapped one day...
