The Waiting Game.
I'm playing it. And I am playing it HARD. In the past month, I've applied for two promotions. One that will keep me in KC, and one that will move me back home to STL. I'm still waiting. I've heard from both, but there haven't been any interviews.
The STL one is taking forever. They promoted all of their lower staff in the last 2 months, and they want to get new staff hired and trained before bringing me in for an interview.
The KC one depends on other factors. It means my boss needs to get a promotion (which he has an interview for on Monday). It's also a position where I'll be going up against people with more experience than me. But I'm totally in the realm of possibilities.
I want to stay in KC. But I won't let the STL promotion pass me up.
Both are about the same money I make now. But both come with a company car, cell phone, and laptop. And better benefits.
I just hate not knowing anything!!! It's frustrating. But at the same time, I'm really excited for what the next few months hold for me!
