Lately, I've noticed that my hair is super long. I vaguely started growing it out about 8 months before the wedding (or at least, that's the last time I cut it), and now it's well past my shoulders. To be honest, it's been a long time since it's been this long. I've been considering donating it (and even put it on my 101 in 1001 list), but I never looked into it before. So, I wandered over to the website for Locks of Love.
According to their website, they take colored hair (which is awesome, cause I've been dying since I was 18...). And hair only needs to be 10 inches long. Check it out:
That's NINE inches, and it's practically chin-length still (don't mind the goofy face and the glasses - I scratched my eye last week). I've had my hair that short before, so that doesn't scare me too much. I'm probably going to keep growing it until next spring or summer, but then I fully intend to whack it all off. (Oh, and how cute is the new bathroom paint?! love it.) In any case, it's something useful to do. And it makes me motivate to NOT chop my hair off - quite yet.
I'm actually really excited to do this. It's gonna be awesome.

I have donated my hair 3 times. It is a great cause. Just remember that 10 inches off the side isn't all that will be gone. They will pull it back into a low loose pony tail then chop off 10 inches. Then you have shaping after that. The first time I donated I lost a total of about 14 inches. Not trying to discourage you (please donate) just wanted to give you a heads up.
